Why biometric data exists here at all
Every creator listed on fuel.fans is verified as a real adult, and the face on each listing is confirmed to belong to the person who verified. That verification is performed by our identity partner, Sumsub, and involves a scan of the creator's ID document and a live selfie. The liveness check creates a scan of face geometry, which is biometric data. Fans are never asked for biometric data, or any identity data at all.
Who collects and holds it
Sumsub collects and stores the ID images, the selfie, and the biometric data in its secure vault, acting on behalf of fuel.fans. fuel.fans never receives, stores, or possesses biometric identifiers or biometric information. Our servers hold only the verification result (pass or fail), a vendor reference number, and the creator's legal name, which is never shown publicly. A human at fuel.fans visually compares the verification selfie with the listing portrait by viewing the selfie inside Sumsub's dashboard; the selfie is never transmitted to, stored on, or displayed by fuel.fans systems, and no software operated by fuel.fans scans or compares faces.
Consent
Verification never starts without the creator's explicit written consent, collected on the verification page before any camera opens. The consent record is retained permanently.
What it is used for, and never used for
Biometric data is used for one purpose: confirming the creator's identity, age (18+), and that the listing portrait depicts her. It is never sold, leased, traded, or used for marketing, advertising, or profiling, and it is never disclosed to anyone except as required by law.
Retention schedule and destruction
Biometric data is retained by Sumsub only as long as the verification purpose requires, and in all cases is permanently destroyed no later than three years after the creator's last interaction with fuel.fans, or earlier upon a valid deletion request for data we are not legally required to keep. Destruction means permanent deletion from Sumsub's systems in line with its certified deletion procedures. fuel.fans holds nothing biometric to destroy.
