The short version
Fans browse and fuel without accounts, so we hold almost nothing about fans. Creators give us what a public listing needs plus what identity verification requires, and the sensitive parts of verification stay with the verification vendor, not on our servers. We run no ad trackers and sell no data.
What we collect from fans
Nothing identifying is required. If you add a display name or message to a fuel, it is stored and the creator sees it (your name may also appear in her public supporter list). Payments are handled by our crypto payment processor; we record the payment reference, the wallet address the payment came from where the network exposes it, and the amount. For outbound-click counting we store a salted hash of your IP address that cannot be reversed into the address itself. Your 18+ confirmation is a cookie on your device.
What we collect from creators
Your listing (stage name, portrait, tagline, links), your email (used only to send sign-in links and service notices), your linked social handle from ownership verification, the wallet address you type on each withdrawal request (wallet addresses are personal data; we treat them that way, and a public tipping address links to its on-chain history), and your money ledger (fuels received, your cut, withdrawals). Identity verification runs through Sumsub: your ID document, selfie, and biometric data stay in Sumsub's vault, and our servers store only the verification result, a vendor reference, your consent record, and your legal name, which is never shown publicly. Cookies
Three, all functional: the 18+ confirmation, the creator sign-in session, and the operator admin session. No advertising or analytics cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
Who processes data for us
Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), NOWPayments (crypto payments), Sumsub (identity verification), and Resend (email delivery). Each receives only what its job requires. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Retention
Money records (payments, fuels, payouts) are kept as long as the law and fraud prevention require. A removed listing disappears from the public site immediately; its underlying records are retained for the same money-record reasons. Sign-in tokens expire within minutes and are stored only as hashes.
Your rights
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not legally required to keep: support@fuel.fans, or DM @fuel_fans on X. Creators can remove their listing at any time from the dashboard or via fuel.fans/report, which takes identity claims down first and asks questions after.
Security posture
There are no passwords on fuel.fans (sign-in links replace them), we never store card numbers, ID documents never touch our servers, and payout addresses are never saved on an account; each withdrawal's address is typed fresh and a new address triggers a fresh identity check.
18+ only
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and an under-18 discovered on the chart is removed immediately with all fuel reversed.
Changes
We can update this policy; the date above changes when we do. Material changes are announced on the site.
